Maintenance Technician

This position requires you to be available weekends and holidays. Requires flexible availability.

In this role, you would assist the Chief Engineer in performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance, and would act as "Engineer on Duty" in the Chief's absence. You will also assist with tidying up the hotel as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces
• Address maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and basic mechanical issues
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document completed work
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of hotel facilities and equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies
• Assist with room turns, painting, and minor carpentry as needed
• Assist with tidying up and cleaning the hotel as needed
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and hotel policies

• Prior hotel experience required
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Must be reliable and able to work independently
