DescriptionArchbishop Spalding, located in Severn, Maryland, is seeking a full-time, qualified School Counselor.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to support students' academic, social, and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will provide guidance, counseling, and resources to help students navigate challenges and achieve success in school and beyond.
This position’s hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Essential Functions- Provide individual and group counseling to support students' emotional and social development.
- Assist students in developing academic goals.
- Identify and address behavioral issues, collaborating with teachers and parents/guardians.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide referrals to external resources when necessary.
- Support students in conflict resolution, peer relationships, and decision‑making.
- Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- A Master’s degree in School Counseling.
- Maryland state certification/licensure as a School Counselor.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting (preferred).
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and faculty.
Pay Range: $42,500 – $85,000, Annualized
