Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

QA/QC BoilermakerEnsures that the facilities and buildings we are working on with the client are being constructed properly. They will help to monitor daily processes and quality of installations during these processes. This person will have extensive knowledge of boilermaker systems within large facilities, such as data centers, and may have on‑site field experience. All Austin/client safety policies and procedures must be understood and complied with.
The candidate will also utilize and participate in Austin’s Accident Prevention Program, including audits. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in testing assembled vessels.
- Clean pressure vessel equipment.
- Complete maintenance documentation.
- Conduct inspections and prepare preventative maintenance reports.
- Track rolling information.
- Fabricate, install, test, and maintain vats, tanks, boilers, and pressure vessels.
- Inspect equipment for proper functioning.
- Conduct weld testing, performing weld and repair inspections.
- Install auxiliary mechanisms (fittings, tubes, valves, boiler instrumentation).
- Install large structures or boilers into facilities.
- Organize and assemble boiling parts.
- Read blueprints for dimensions, location, and position.
- Shape and fabricate parts.
- Weld small‑diameter pipe/tube.
- Operate well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer packages (e.g., MS Project, Outlook, WinPCS).
- Knowledge of safety legislation and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- No minimum education requirements.
- 4 years of QAQC Boilermaker experience.
- Certification/License: NCCER, Valid Driver’s License, TWIC Card.
