Retail Assistant Store Manager - Merrell
As an Assistant Manager you will resolve issues, identify innovative approaches, and support the Store Manager in overseeing overall store operations, driving sales, and leading a cohesive, high‑motivated team.
Key Responsibilities- Be a role model – motivate and engage your team to bring brand values to life, creating an inclusive and positive working atmosphere.
- Deliver outstanding service to all customers, demonstrating role‑model behaviours for the entire team.
- Assist in driving sales, commerciality, and maintenance of standards, including compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Communicate efficiently, both on the floor and behind the scenes, and develop relationships across the business, with customers and community partners.
- Partner with the Store Manager to generate innovative and engaging marketing ideas.
- Take ownership of stock management and execute visual merchandising guidelines, contributing to and delivering on store KPIs.
- Act as the product expert and trainer, educating your team and advising customers.
- Foster a supportive, productive, and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
- Support the store management team in all aspects of running the store, including opening and closing, cash handling, stock control, merchandising, and maintaining a clean and well‑presented store at all times.
- Create amazing customer experiences through authentic service that leaves a lasting impression.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, including health and safety regulations.
- Previous experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
- Experience in a customer‑facing role; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Flexible and adaptable to thrive in a fast‑paced setting.
- Flexible schedule and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for our brands and brand lifestyles.
- Self‑starter and ambitious – motivated to achieve and exceed store targets.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Retail environment.
- Performing duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
