The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of AVTEC, is recruiting for an

Program Coordinator 1 located in Seward!

This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 18.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Program Coordinator you will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for all activities involved in the planning, implementation, administration, oversight, evaluation and reporting of workforce development grant programs and student service initiatives at the Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC). This includes the administration of state and/or federal funds for programs including, but not limited to, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

You’ll work closely with students, instructors, employers, and community partners to coordinate services, remove barriers to success, and improve employment outcomes. In addition, you will plan and support student engagement activities and other initiatives that enhance the student experience. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine program leadership, grant management, and direct student support to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Alaskans.
