LTC LVN/LPN
LTC LVN/LPN position available with a focus on long-term care. The start date is as soon as possible. Shifts will be either days or nights, based on facility needs. Candidates will not be asked to rotate between night and day shifts, with occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs. The staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 20 patients. All caregivers are required to obtain the Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation on-site.
A one-time fee will be associated with this certification. Candidates must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays. No locals are accepted; candidates' permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Travelers must provide a copy of a valid driver's license and proof of insurance before operating a facility-provided vehicle. Housing accommodations must be secured prior to starting if facility-provided housing is not available.
All candidates must have LTC experience, with specific skills in patient admission, ambulation, and vital sign monitoring. Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination or willingness to obtain the vaccination is required. References from previous LTC work experience are mandatory. Candidates may be asked to float within the facility if needed.
