Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: 4x12 Variable (or 3x12 Variable - traveler's choice). Caregivers will either work Day or Night shifts based on facility needs.
The Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide essential patient care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), administering basic care, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with ADLs like bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient conditions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Ensure safety and comfort by following proper infection control protocols.
- Report any observed changes in patient demeanor to nursing staff.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have prior travel experience.
- CNA certification in another state is required if AK CNA license is pending.
- Completion of a formal CNA training program.
- Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) settings.
- Must be able to provide documentation of the submitted Alaska CNA license application.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
