American Traveler is hiring an experienced Long Term Care RN for a night or day shift position requiring an active AK RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

• Long Term Care facility with 40 staffed beds
• 4x12 or 3x12 variable shift schedules, traveler's choice of Day (7:00-19:30) or Night (19:00-7:30) shifts
• No rotation between day and night shifts, with occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs
• Patient ratio of 1:20
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities nearby
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses ECS charting system
• Scrubs of any color permitted

• Active AK RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• LTC experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skills required:
  
  respiratory care, oxygen administration, IV therapy/medication administration, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions/PPE
• 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required, may include Charge RNs or Leads
• Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during onsite orientation as a condition of employment

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
• No more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26-week contract
• Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront and will not be considered after an offer or contract signing
• Assignment length is traveler's choice of 13 or 26 weeks
• Facility provides shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the beginning and end of the assignment
• Free parking available on-site
