LTC LVN/LPN
The position requires an LVN/LPN for a long-term care facility. The candidate must have prior travel experience. The shifts available are either nights or days, depending on facility needs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:20. The candidate must be able to float within the scope to meet facility needs. All staff are required to communicate patient status changes to the RN or MD as necessary.
Certifications such as BLS must be current. Skills required include patient admission, ambulation, bathing, and vital sign monitoring. Experience with feeding tube care and management is essential. The facility has a total of 40 staffed beds, and the average daily census is approximately 40 patients. Patient diagnoses include dementia, Alzheimer's, and physical impairments, among others. The role does not require on-call duties.
RTO (Request Time Off) restrictions apply, and the candidate must be willing to work during major winter holidays. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as required. Failure to adhere to the contracted schedule or RTO guidelines may lead to termination of the assignment. The facility will arrange transportation assistance as necessary for staff. All caregivers must obtain the necessary certifications related to food safety requirements during their orientation period.
