American Traveler is hiring an experienced Long Term Care RN with prior travel assignment experience for a facility requiring an active AK RN license in hand.

• Long Term Care facility with 40 staffed beds
• 4x12 hour shifts, either Days (7:00-19:30) or Nights (19:00-7:30), with no rotation between shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:20
• Floating required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities nearby
• No on-call requirements
• Uses ECS charting system
• Any scrub color permitted

• Active AK RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing assignment experience required
• LTC experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Skills required:
  
  respiratory care, oxygen administration, IV therapy/medication, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during onsite orientation (one-time $10 fee)
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Provide direct patient care to Long Term Care residents
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside the 50-mile radius
• No more than 2 weeks of RTO considered for a 26-week contract, and all RTO requests must be submitted upfront with the initial submission
• Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Facility arranges shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at the start and end of the contract, plus local shuttle service in Seward
• Free parking available onsite
• Contract length available as traveler's choice of 13 or 26 weeks
