Kenai Backcountry Adventures is seeking a motivated and personable Adventure Travel Sales Representative to help grow bookings, expand our partner network, and connect travelers from around the world with unforgettable Alaskan experiences. This position combines sales, marketing, and partnership development while working on-site in Anchorage — the hub of Alaska’s adventure tourism industry.

Kenai Backcountry Adventures creates bucket-list experiences in the wild heart of Alaska — from glacier treks and bear viewing to multi-day backcountry expeditions. We’re looking for an Adventure Travel Sales Representative who’s excited to connect travelers and partners with these unforgettable adventures.

This Alaska-based role is perfect for a results-driven, people-oriented professional who thrives on sales, loves storytelling, and enjoys working in a fast-moving adventure-tourism environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive Bookings: Convert inbound leads and inquiries into confirmed reservations across all KBA tours.
  • Develop Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and cruise partners throughout Alaska.
  • Fuel Marketing Efforts: Build and support campaigns, promotions, and social content that increase visibility and bookings.
  • Represent the Brand: Attend trade events, coordinate familiarization trips, and serve as a local ambassador for Alaska adventure travel.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with operations to align sales goals with tour capacity and seasonal priorities.
What You Bring
  • Proven experience in sales, reservations, or marketing
    , ideally within tourism, hospitality, or outdoor adventure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you’re persuasive, confident, and relationship-driven.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing tools (Hub Spot, Go High Level , Mailchimp, or similar).
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills; comfortable tracking metrics and managing multiple leads.
  • A genuine passion for travel, adventure, and sharing the magic of Alaska with others.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $40,000 – $45,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Commission: Tiered structure on gross revenue from direct and partner sales.
  • Bonus: Annual performance bonuses for meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Total Expected Earnings: Typically range $55,000 – $75,000+, with no cap for top performers.
