Financial Controller – Manufacturing | $100K–$135K + Bonus

We’re recruiting for a newly created Financial Controller position supporting a brand-new dairy beverage processing facility in Seward, Nebraska
. The operation is being built under an established and successful dairy business, offering an unusual combination: the opportunity to help shape something new with the stability and resources of an established organization behind it.

This could be an especially attractive next step for a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Cost Accounting professional or smaller-company Controller who has manufacturing experience and is ready for broader responsibility.

• Build something from the beginning. Join as the new operation is taking shape and help establish its accounting processes and rhythms.
• Get broad exposure. You'll work closely with senior leadership rather than being one small piece of a large corporate accounting department.
• Stay close to the business. This is a hands-on manufacturing accounting role where you'll understand what's happening operationally and how it flows through the numbers.
• Expand your responsibilities. In a lean, growing organization, you'll have the opportunity to touch multiple areas of accounting rather than being boxed into one specialty.
• Grow with the company. Potential future paths include Plant Controller, CPG/Branded Products Controller, broader finance leadership, or more senior Controller responsibility as the organization expands.

You’ll work across a broad accounting function that can include:

• Month-end close, journal entries, general ledger and reconciliations
• Manufacturing cost accounting and variance analysis
• Inventory accounting and controls
• AP, AR and payroll responsibilities as needed while the team is lean
• Internal controls and accounting accuracy
• Management reporting
• Investigating what is driving the numbers—not simply reporting them
• Helping improve accounting processes as production and the finance organization grow

The company uses Net Suite
, so experience with it would be valuable, but it isn’t required. Strong experience with another ERP and the ability to learn systems quickly can work just as well.

We’re most interested in someone who has:

• Hands‑on accounting experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
• Solid understanding of cost and/or inventory accounting
• Experience with month‑end close, GL and reconciliations
• A willingness to roll up their sleeves and work across different areas of accounting
• The curiosity to investigate discrepancies and understand why the numbers are moving
• The desire to take on greater responsibility as the company grows

You do not need dairy or beverage experience
. Strong manufacturing accounting experience from food, agriculture, CPG, industrial manufacturing or another plant‑based environment can translate very well.

• $100,000–$135,000 base
