Memorial Health Care Systems, an award-winning Critical Access Hospital in Seward, Nebraska, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our dedicated team. This full-time, primarily day-shift position offers a balanced schedule with limited on-call responsibilities—just one evening or on‑call shift per week, one weekend in seven, and rotating holidays.

What You’ll Do- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and analyses that inform patient diagnosis and treatment
- Collect and handle patient specimens using proper techniques and protocols
- Accurately record and report results through the laboratory information system
- Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- Support quality assurance and participate in proficiency testing
- Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory standards
- Communicate effectively with providers and team members to ensure high‑quality patient care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with confidence and accountability
- MLS:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field - MLT:
Associate degree from an accredited program - ASCP certification required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
