Certified Nursing Assistant

• Provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.
• Complete the daily shift report and communicate directly to the next shift any urgent needs.
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors, demonstrating the ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift.
• Assist with resident care to include housekeeping, laundry, social needs, and demonstrate proper lifting techniques.
• Assist with serving meals and essential clean-up.
• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the DON/Charge Nurse/HWD as soon as practical.
• Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
• Keep certification current and participate in continuing education, including staff meetings, in‑services, and web‑based training.

Education/

Experience:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant from the state.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nurse Assistant having successfully completed a state‑approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with the laws of this state.
• Prefer prior experience in Assisted Living (AL) or Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU). Prefer prior experience as a certified nurse aide for at least 1 year.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.
