What you will be doing:
Oversee total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Includes interfacing with owner representatives, subcontractors, security, and lower management. Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities of all company personnel assigned to project(s). Plan work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc. Maintain official project log(s) and documentation files through use of company software.
Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of onsite Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget, investigate potentially serious situations, and implement corrective measures. Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff if applicable). Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, and recommend construction methods and equipment as required. Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required. Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the owner. Represent company in project meetings. Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction.
Experience you will need:
Organized and systematic in the work. Thorough and deep knowledge about construction activities and all the functions. Must have experience managing multifamily residential housing projects, preferably in Connecticut or similar markets, with project values ranging from $50 million to over $150 million. Excellent communicator and should have both verbal and written skills. Interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain good relationships with the crew.
Possess qualities of a good leader. Understanding of construction designs and plans.
