Experience or Special Skills:

• The vacancy is for a social studies teacher as part of a seventh grade team.
• Knowledge of CCSS and the ability to integrate literacy standards in social studies is necessary.
• Selects, designs and organizes objectives, strategies and materials for teaching social studies through an inquiry based model.
• Provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the pupil based on data analysis.
• Establishes and maintains standards of behavior in the classroom and throughout the school to achieve a positive and functional learning atmosphere for students.
• Collaborates with all stakeholders to meet the needs of the students.
• Responsible for timely record keeping including grades and attendance.
• Responsible for all other duties as indicated on certified teacher job description.
• Completes all assigned tasks from Administration.
