Experience or Special Skills:
- The vacancy is for a social studies teacher as part of a seventh grade team.
- Knowledge of CCSS and the ability to integrate literacy standards in social studies is necessary.
- Selects, designs and organizes objectives, strategies and materials for teaching social studies through an inquiry based model.
- Provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the pupil based on data analysis.
- Establishes and maintains standards of behavior in the classroom and throughout the school to achieve a positive and functional learning atmosphere for students.
- Collaborates with all stakeholders to meet the needs of the students.
- Responsible for timely record keeping including grades and attendance.
- Responsible for all other duties as indicated on certified teacher job description.
- Completes all assigned tasks from Administration.
