Description

We’re looking for a seasoned SMT Process Engineer who’s ready to step into a high-impact role and grow into future leadership. This is a mid-career position for someone with 7–15 years of hands‑on SMT, PCB assembly, and process development experience. Candidates must come from an environment with multiple SMT lines and a larger‑scale electronics manufacturing operation.

What You’ll Own
  • Communicate clearly with engineering, production, and customer teams.
  • Partner with operators, technicians, and supervisors on daily SMT operations.
  • Program, set up, and optimize SMT equipment: printers, SPI, pick‑and‑place, reflow ovens, AOI.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
  • Build and debug reflow oven profiles (°F/°C).
  • Perform defect review, root‑cause analysis, and develop pre‑ and post‑build DFM reports.
  • Support and program Selective Solder and Wave Solder equipment.
  • Interpret 2D and 5DX X‑ray images; programming experience is a plus.
  • Handle label programming, barcodes, and traceability.
  • Use Gerbers, CAD, and stencil design tools.
  • Use AutoCAD or Solid Works for assembly and fabrication drawings.
  • Work directly with customer engineering groups to improve design and process performance.
What We’re Looking For
  • 7–15 years of SMT/PCB manufacturing experience (active within the last 3–5 years).
  • Experience supporting multiple SMT lines; small shops or single‑line operations will not be a fit.
  • Strong understanding of circuit card assembly, electronics manufacturing, and box builds.
  • Ability to analyze issues, collect data, interpret results, and implement solutions quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
    Aegis experience preferred.
  • Must pass Component  IPC‑A‑610 Inspection training.
