Maintenance EHS Technician

• Supports EHS leadership in completing tasks and projects:
  • Monthly equipment inspections (fire, fall protection, lifting equipment, etc.)
  • Annual support on services (fire protection devices, cranes, emergency lighting)
  • Waste Management support – disposal and inspections
  • Training – supporting EHS training needs for maintenance roles
  • Wastewater – pre‑treatment operator and main operator
  • Contractor Management – oversight of contractor EHS training
• Respond to urgent environmental requests and on‑call emergencies outside of regular working hours.
• Lead facility maintenance and EHS projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion and adherence to EHS standards.
• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
• Supports maintenance in completing tasks and projects:
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled facility repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate timely facility repairs with outside vendors, including contacting contract service providers and ordering parts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Operate a variety of lift equipment, power tools, hand tools, measuring tools, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Boiler maintenance.
  • Fire alarm maintenance/support.
  • Fire protection equipment.
  • General facility maintenance.
  • Forklift maintenance oversight.
  • Ensure all facility maintenance activities comply with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Work closely with other departments to address facility needs and improve safety and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance status, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Stakeholder in management of change process.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical certification or degree in facilities management, HVAC, or related field preferred.
• Experience in operations or maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficient knowledge of facilities operations such as plumbing, HVAC, roofing systems, lighting systems, minor electrical and low voltage, and compressed air.
• Familiarity with OSHA/EPA regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Prior experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
