JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assembling specialized remote switching equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble remote switching equipment according to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including but not limited to mounting components, connecting wires, and securing assemblies.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Inspect finished assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise, working collaboratively with engineering and production teams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking components and materials used in assembly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes and product quality.
  • Provide feedback to engineering and production teams regarding opportunities for process improvement and product enhancement.
  • Adhere to production schedules and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of finished products.

May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in assembly work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and accessing assembly instructions.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly techniques and equipment.
    • Detail oriented, great attitude, team player, well organized.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

• Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Clear written and verbal communications.

• Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.

• Good time management skills; be able to multi-task

• Able to work at fast pace

• Work well in a team environment.

• Able to maintain confidential information.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school or equivalent GED certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Occasional reaching/working overhead, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • Frequent walking
  • Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
  • Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 15 pounds.
