RAF Electronics, a part of MW Components is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Associate to support daily production operations. In this role, you will operate equipment, process parts through plating and drying operations, perform quality inspections, handle materials, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring products are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and customer requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
* Operate manufacturing equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned.
* Properly load and unload parts into baskets for plating and drying processes.
* Monitor production processes and report issues or concerns to supervisors.
* Perform visual inspections to verify product quality and identify defects.
* Report defects, inconsistencies, equipment issues, or safety concerns promptly.
* Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods.
* Move products between workstations using carts, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment.
* Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by reporting material usage and shortages.
* Complete production forms, checklists, logs, and related documentation accurately and timely.
* Enter production data into ERP/MES systems as required.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
* Follow all company safety rules, PPE requirements, and hazard control procedures.
* Participate in safety training and support a zero-injury culture.
* Communicate production status, delays, quality concerns, and equipment issues to team members and supervisors.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Basic math and measurement skills.
* Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
* Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
* Prior manufacturing, production, assembly, plating, warehouse, or industrial experience.
* Experience operating manufacturing equipment or machinery.
* Basic computer skills and experience with ERP, MES, or production tracking systems.
Physical Requirements
* Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
* Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
* Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
* Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Must possess adequate vision, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
