Securitas Technology seeks a Security Alarm Technician to install, program, and service integrated electronic security and life safety systems for commercial and enterprise clients. You will work with intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control, and monitoring technologies, performing site surveys, wiring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Collaborating with a safety- and integrity-focused team, you'll ensure code-compliant, high-quality installations while supporting customers with training and technical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and program electronic security and alarm systems for commercial and enterprise clients
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and repair of intrusion, video surveillance, and access control systems
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to ensure accurate installations
  • Complete site surveys and recommend appropriate security solutions based on customer needs and risk assessments
  • Terminate, label, and route low-voltage cabling in accordance with code and company standards
  • Perform system inspections, preventive maintenance, and upgrades to optimize performance and reliability
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, electrical codes, and company quality standards
  • Document work performed, update service tickets, and maintain accurate records in company systems
  • Provide technical support, user training, and system demonstrations to customers onsite
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and monitoring teams to deliver integrated security solutions
