Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor: Inventory & Freight

Warehouse and Shipping Supervisor is responsible for receiving supplier material, packaging and shipping products, overseeing the Starship System Backup, supervising inventory and resolving common warehouse and shipping issues.

• Research, negotiate, arrange freight including inbound and outbound trucking and shipping
• Oversees cycle count of assigned inventory from Purchasing Manager
• Manges packaging inventory and communicates status and buying needs to Purchasing Manager
• Manages Blanket Order, Make/Hold Orders, Min/Max Inventory
• FIFO all inventory unless accounting process changes
• Follows shipping and receiving procedures
• Understands and follows printed work instructions
• Verifies material is packed correctly and securely to avoid shipping damage
• Operates and maintains forklifts
• Loads and unloads raw material and finished goods
• Accurately records incoming and outgoing quantities in the correct unit of measurements
• Allocates raw materials and returns converted products to warehouse
• Keeps warehouse and packing areas clean and organized
• Follows safety instructions while using warehouse equipment
• Recognizes and reports equipment problems to Maintenance Department
• Suggests and helps implement changes to ensure inventory accuracy and product integrity
• Verifies material identity and quality
• Accurately records quality measurements and working time as required
• Packages products per written instructions
• Keeps work area clean and organized
• Works with fellow team members to maintain machine up time and productivity

• Scheduling and Production Manager

• High School or equivalent education
• Must be able to operate forklift vehicles
• Must be able to effectively communicate procedures, set up and running instructions to team memeber, must read, write and understand English work orders and work instructions
• Must be able to use and read measuring tools such as rulers, calipers & weighing scales
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs unassisted
• This position is based in Seymour CT, candidates must be within commuting distance
