Manufacturing Engineer Details:
- Direct hire position
- $70,000.00 to $ / annually
- First shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 04:00pm)
- Plans and implements machine and process improvement (related to safety, quality and cost).
- Conducts root-cause analysis and countermeasure implementation
- Improves and updates existing General Engineering Design and Process Planning Sheet.
- Prepares spare parts based on availability and mean time between failures.
- Initiates setup and process capability study – establishing setup conditions for ongoing capability.
- Conducts internal trial build and external run-off in U.S.A., Japan, etc.
- Completes work in a timely manner to meet the established divisional goals
- Supports machine recovery work in difficult to solve issues. (contingency planning)
- Interact with design team to improve product design for lower cost and improved manufacturing
- Develop process plan and capital acquisition proposal for presentation to executive management team
Manufacturing Engineer
Qualifications:
- Ability to understand mechanical component and electrical control logic.
- Ability to apply physical science principles.
- Ability to read and comprehend 2-D blueprints of product, GD&T and technical specifications.
- Ability to use basic CAD software for design review, plant layout and tooling improvements
- Ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques (5 Why, SPC, Six Sigma, DOE etc)
- Ability to understand product specifications and apply measurement techniques.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office applications and database skills).
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
