Syscend (the platform behind Guardian Bikes) is building a vertically integrated, AI-driven manufacturing and commerce company. We design, manufacture, fulfill, and sell directly from our U.S. factory floor to the customer’s door.

Our Indianapolis Center of Excellence for Data & Operational Systems is where we architect the intelligence and transactional backbone that powers the entire platform.

Acumatica serves as our canonical ledger for inventory and accounting. Internally built MRP, MES, andWMS systems drive operational execution. Our data platform models analytical truth. Over time, AIsystems will reason across these layers and execute workflows that humans previously owned. This role sits at the center of that architecture.

Role

Summary:

We are hiring a Senior ERP & Operational Systems Architect to own the integrity of our transactional backbone.

You will ensure ERP remains the single source of truth for financial and inventory transactions, defineand govern how internal operational systems interact with the ERP, and architect clean system boundaries that support scale, automation, and AI-native execution.

This is not a helpdesk role. This is architectural ownership of operational truth.

What You'll Own:
Canonical Ledger Integrity (Acumatica)
Primary system owner for Acumatica including configuration, workflows, permissions, and release governance

Ensure transactional accuracy across inventory, costing, purchasing, order management, and GLMaintain internal controls and clean configuration standards

Own upgrade cycles, testing protocols, and QA discipline

Enterprise Systems Architecture & Integration Governance Define boundaries between ERP (ledger) and internal MRP/MES/WMS (execution layer)
Design and document transaction flows across systems

Establish clean API contracts and data ownership rules

Partner with internal engineering teams building operational tools

Implement reconciliation and monitoring across system integrations

Prevent duplicate sources of truth and protect financial integrity

Operational Workflow Architecture Redesign cross-functional workflows spanning production, inventory, fulfillment, and finance

Eliminate shadow spreadsheets and manual overrides

Lead structured change management and stakeholder adoption

Ensure upstream changes propagate cleanly downstream

Data Integrity and AI Readiness:

Ensure ERP data is structured, consistent, and machine-interpretable

Reduce ambiguity in costing and inventory logic

Partner with Data teams to maintain clean analytics handoffs

Design workflows that are automation- and AI-ready5–8+ years ERP experience in manufacturing, distribution, or e-commerce

Deep Acumatica experience (configuration, workflows, reporting)
Strong understanding of manufacturing costing, BOM governance, and inventory valuation

Experience in multi-system ERP environments with custom integrations

Understanding of API-based integrations and data contracts

Proven cross-functional process redesign capability

Ability to work regularly on-site in Seymour, IN Preferred

Experience collaborating directly with software engineers

Reconciliation design and transaction monitoring experience

Exposure to AI or automation initiatives in ERP contexts

Experience in vertically integrated or DTC environments

Vendor and ERP partner management experience
