We are looking for a talented material flow professional for a role in Seymour, IN.

Role Material Flow Manager
-3rd Shift (On-Site) to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for the Cummins Inc. facility in Seymour, IN.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure Seamless Daily Operations:
    Plan and maintain supply chain activities across key functional areas—materials, production, inventory, logistics, and order fulfillment—ensuring smooth execution.
  • Improve Planning System Performance:
    Develop strategies and adjust system parameters to enhance planning signals and optimize resource allocation throughout the supply chain.
  • Drive Data-Driven Decisions:
    Analyze and interpret KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and implement actionable plans that boost efficiency.
  • Mitigate Supply Chain Risks:
    Proactively identify potential failures and implement corrective measures to safeguard operational continuity and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate Across Stakeholders:
    Work with internal and external partners to develop short-term tactical improvements that strengthen supply chain responsiveness.
  • Execute Operational Planning Processes:
    Ensure timely and accurate execution of daily planning activities within your functional area, supporting overall business objectives.
  • Standardize Processes and Tools:
    Leverage common processes, tools, and information systems to promote consistency and reliability across the supply chain network.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement:
    Actively participate in functional process improvement teams, driving innovation and efficiency in supply chain operations.
Qualifications

    Ability to streamline work processes, manage ambiguity, and drive innovation for efficiency and long-term operational excellence.
Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Minimal to intermediate level of experience required.

Additional Information
  • Role Expectations:
    The Material Flow Manager role is a 3rd Shift (On-Site) with hours 11:00 pm – 7:30 am (flexible).
  • Lead and manage the materials team, fostering collaboration and accountability to ensure operational excellence.
  • Identify and resolve material flow inefficiencies across shifts, working cross-functionally to maintain smooth production processes.
  • Collaborate with off-site third-party logistics partners to guarantee accurate and timely delivery of materials for production needs.
  • Assess current processes and implement improvements within internal operations and warehouse management to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and best practices to optimize material flow and inventory control.
  • Maintain strong communication and coordination across teams and stakeholders to support seamless supply chain operations.
