We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable individual to join our team at Akers Packaging in North Vernon as a Press Operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Press Operator Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 16.71 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

• Set up and operate printing presses to apply designs or lettering onto corrugated sheets.
• Load & stack materials for press operation
• Adjust machine settings to accurately score, slot, & join corrugated sheets.
• Produce precise cartons according to specifications for various packaging applications.
• Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor machine performance & troubleshoot minor issues to maintain efficiency.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols & company operational guidelines.
• Maintain a clean & organized workstation.

Press Operator

Qualifications:

• Must be able to fluently speak, read, & write in English.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively & up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Capable of standing for an 8-hour shift.
• Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Press Machine Operator, or Production Line Worker is highly preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in assembly, inspection, or general warehouse operations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail & a commitment to quality.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting.
