Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer located in Seymour, IN. The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer will lead manufacturing process efforts to ensure final products meet standards and regulatory requirements. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include supporting quality control inspections, performing R&D trial, analyzing OEE and equipment efficiency data, generating work standards and technical packages, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high‑quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited university
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment; plastics or polymer processing experience preferred
  • Proven experience supporting production lines, including ownership of documentation, compliance, and training of cross‑functional teams
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as extruders, blenders, feeders, dryers, blowers, pumps, etc.
  • Hands‑on experience performing equipment troubleshooting and tracking major manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, waste reduction, and yield
  • Strong technical expertise in equipment troubleshooting and design.
  • Ability to generate, maintain, and report manufacturing documentation with high accuracy and organization
  • Proficiency in core Six Sigma and problem‑solving methodologies, including RCA, 8D, CAPA, and PPAP
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and proven record of utilizing work orders through CMMS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing, compounding, extrusion, or injection molding.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certification from an accredited institution (ASQ)

Annual base salary range for this role is between $80K to $100K
