American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and BLS certification.

• .Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Short Stay, Telemetry, and Orthopedic cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• EMR system used is Meditech Expanse

• Active RN license (IN state or compact) required in-hand prior to start
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
• Community Hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line management preferred
• Skills in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Wound care and isolation precaution knowledge required
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Orthopedic units as needed
• Utilize strong teamwork, self-direction, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available to call out only if absence exceeds one week
• Indicate holiday availability at time of consideration
• Local candidates accepted within an 80-mile radius at local rate
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
• Completion of required clearance modules prior to start and annually
