American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5+ years of ER experience and travel assignment experience.
Requirements- Active IN state or compact RN license required in-hand prior to start
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, CEN
- Preferred certifications: ENPC, SANE, TNCC, CCRN, CMSRN, RN-BC
- Minimum 5 years of ER nursing experience required
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
- Trauma Level I/II and community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of arterial/central lines
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
- Competency in managing neurological, respiratory, psychiatric, and orthopedic emergencies
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric population
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- STEMI and Stroke certified facility
- Shock/trauma capabilities including gunshot wound management
- Floating within scope required if facility need arises
- Uses Meditech Expanse EMR
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies
- Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed
- Must be available to work 2 of the following 3 holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Christmas, New Year's Eve/New Year's - Scrubs of any color permitted
- Call-offs restricted to no more than one week
- Local candidates accepted within an 80-mile radius at local rate
