About the Opportunity:Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Controller - Farming responsible for overseeing the company’s farming accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial information, and providing leadership for financial reporting, budgeting, inventory and cost accounting, and compliance functions. This position plays a key role in supporting farming operations and planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining internal controls, and providing accurate financial and operational data to support business decisions.

What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of directly related accounting or finance experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or a related inventory-intensive industry.
- Required experience with inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, valuation, tracking, and related financial reporting.
- Experience with cost accounting, cost accumulation and allocations, and forecasting costs within an agriculture or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, mentor, and manage staff.
- Experience working with financial and operational data, analytics, and reporting to support business decisions.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience designing and developing data queries/reports from ERP systems for operational analytics and utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of operations and management.
- Ability to work effectively in a self-directed, fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to be both a team leader and collaborative team member.
- Ability to travel to regional facilities as needed.
- Remote work is not available for this position.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance and DMV requirements.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.
- CPA/CMA with experience in cost accounting and inventory.
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
