As an Equipment Operator – Start‑Up Projects at WITRON, you will play a critical role in commissioning and optimizing automated systems during project ramp‑up phases. You will leverage your technical expertise and hands‑on experience to ensure smooth equipment operation, troubleshoot issues, and coach client employees on best practices. Acting as a role model for WITRON’s values, you will promote safety, performance, and collaboration while maintaining system reliability and operational efficiency.
This position requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality results in dynamic environments.
You have at least one year of experience as a WITRON Equipment Operator and a solid understanding of automated systems. You are mechanically inclined, quick to learn, and skilled adapt to changing conditions, can work at heights and in varying temperatures, and are willing to travel for projects. You take a safety‑first approach, coach client employees effectively, and model WITRON’s values.
Your technical expertise and adaptability make you a key contributor to successful start‑up projects.
- Minimum of one year experience as a WITRON Equipment Operator
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Formal technical education or entry‑level electromechanics training is considered an asset
Required:
- Must be able to perform all Equipment Operator tasks
- Technically and mechanically inclined, with strong analytical skills and technological proficiency
- Demonstrates a practical approach with the ability to quickly learn new tasks, concepts, and procedures
- Proficient in PC operations within a Windows environment
- Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights up to 100 feet (30 meters) with training and PPE, such as fall protection harness
- Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 55°F to
-15°F (13°C to
-26°C), (PPE provided) - Must be able to work, day, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Provide hands‑on training to new operators on troubleshooting and resolving machine faults
- Model and promote WITRON values, including performance, safety, communication, attendance, and respect, through exemplary behavior
- Identify and report product and equipment issues within assigned areas
- Clear machine faults promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with client employees to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues
- Complete documentation for damaged cases and other order‑picking machine concerns
- Learn and utilize Operations Feedback report for accurate reporting
- Return products and cases outside automation to designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors and removing dust from equipment and panels
- Monitor system performance and operational status, escalating recurring faults as needed
- Operate and manipulate system equipment according to system order messages
- Provide feedback and updates on system performance to supervisors
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and actively participate in health and safety programs to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Availability to travel 100% as required for training, or projects
- Perform other related duties as assigned
