Commercial Journeyman Electrician – Shafter, CA

Location: In-person project in Shafter, California
Pay: $35–$48 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

We are hiring experienced Commercial Journeyman Electricians for a project in Shafter, California. We are looking for dependable electricians who take pride in their work, value safety, and want to be part of a professional, team-oriented company.

Responsibilities

• Install underground conduit, vaults, and transformer pads
• Hand-bend conduit up to 1-1/4-inch EMT and 1-inch rigid conduit
• Use hydraulic benders for conduit up to 4-inch EMT
• Install metal-clad cable
• Pull and feed conductors up to 750 kcmil
• Install and terminate switchboards, panels, transformers, and electrical equipment
• Install light fixtures, receptacles, switches, and other electrical devices
• Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and one-line diagrams
• Safely operate wire pullers, tuggers, and feeders
• Use ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
• Coordinate work with foremen, other trades, and project personnel
• Follow company safety policies and proper PPE requirements
• Maintain Vasko Electric’s standards for quality and productivity

Training and Technology

Vasko Electric provides ongoing training, including:

• OSHA safety training
• CPR and First Aid certification

Qualifications

• Active California General Electrician Certification
• At least five years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Ability to read and understand electrical plans and specifications
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations
• Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork
