Our client is hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated big-box retail local fleet based in Shafter, California. Freight on this fleet is dry van and refrigerated, no-touch, running locations throughout Southern California.

This is a home-daily position, so you sleep in your own bed every night. It suits drivers who want the earnings of a dedicated account without the time away from home. Average earnings on this account run $1,284 per week, approximately $66,811 annualized.

• You will operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally at all times, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring your hours of service, and keeping your logs accurate and current in accordance with federal regulations and company policy.
• You will transport freight on schedule across locations throughout Southern California, following assigned routes, planning fuel and rest stops sensibly, and communicating proactively with your fleet manager when weather, traffic, or a customer delay puts a delivery window at risk.
• All freight is no-touch, averaging two to three stops with a backhaul into the distribution center.
• This fleet gets drivers home every day.
• You will verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly for transit, and complete bills of lading and delivery documentation accurately so the customer's records and yours agree.
• You will represent our client professionally at every customer location, maintain the condition and cleanliness of your assigned equipment, and report mechanical issues promptly so they are addressed before they become a breakdown.

• A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required, along with a minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience. You must meet all Department of Transportation qualification requirements and hold a current DOT medical certification.
• An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history are required. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with all federal testing requirements throughout your employment.
• Hiring within 50 miles of Shafter, CA. This is a slip-seat operation and trucks are parked at the Shafter distribution center.

• Prior refrigerated experience is strongly preferred. Comfort managing reefer units, monitoring temperature settings, and recognizing a problem before it becomes a claim matters on this freight.
• A clean safety record, consistent on-time performance, and a track record of steady tenure with previous carriers all strengthen an application. Drivers who communicate well with dispatch, handle customer contact professionally, and take care of their equipment tend to do well on dedicated accounts like this one.

• Average earnings on this account are $1,284 per week, approximately $66,811 annualized. Pay is made up of:
  Mileage band pay;
  Stop pay;
  Detention pay;
  Safe & On-Time Bonus.
• Home time:
  Home Daily. Home daily with typically two consecutive days off per week. Drivers should expect to work weekends but receive two consecutive days off such as Mon/Tue, Tue/Wed, Wed/Thu or Thu/Fri. Most loads depart between 15:00 and 21:00.
• Equipment: new, well-maintained automatic transmission trucks pulling dry van and reefer trailers. There are currently 7 openings on this fleet.
