Commercial Gas, Oil & Domestic Gas Engineer

Wessex ME is part of the andwis technical services group of companies based in Yeovil and North Dorset, but operating predominantly throughout South Somerset, Dorset, West Hampshire, & South Wiltshire.

Due to our ongoing success, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Gas, Oil & Domestic Gas Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and installation work across a range of commercial and domestic properties.

• Service, maintain, repair, and install commercial and domestic gas heating systems.
• Service, maintain, repair, and install oil-fired heating systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on a variety of heating appliances and systems.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs.
• Carry out domestic gas safety checks, boiler servicing, and landlord safety inspections.
• Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and industry standards.
• Complete job reports, certification, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional approach on-site.
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.

• Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (CODNCO1 or equivalent).
• Valid Domestic Gas qualifications (CCN1 and relevant appliances).
• Oil qualifications (OFTEC preferred or equivalent).
• Proven experience working on commercial and domestic heating systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• LPG qualifications.
• Experience with plant rooms, boilers, burners, and heating controls.
• Experience with domestic boiler installations and repairs.
• Electrical or BMS knowledge.
• Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IPAF, PASMA, First Aid).

• Salary £45,000 – £49,000 pa depending on experience.
