Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma required.
  • Licensure: None required. Teaching certification preferred.

    Job Summary

    In the absence of a Teacher, act as teacher and carry out all responsibilities of the teaching position for all or part of the school day.

    Essential Duties
  • Follow the routines and procedures of the classroom teacher, to ensure the highest level of comfort for the children.
  • Pay careful attention to the physical and emotional well being of each child, demonstrating warmth and consideration for children and parents.
  • Share any difficulties or unusual occurrences with the classroom teacher, Assistant Director or Director.
  • Follow the classroom teacher’s directions and lesson plans in implementing projects and activities.
  • Become familiar with and carry out all school routines and policies.
  • Other Duties
  • Provide substitute care in other classrooms on an as needed basis.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training.
  • All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
