Located in Shaker Heights, Ohio, Hathaway Brown School is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a Varsity Assistant/ JV Head Golf coach position. The ideal candidate will be available Monday through Friday for after‑school practices and games (typically 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM), as well as varying weekends for practices and meets.

• Lead a program of excellence for athletes and additional coaching staff
• Attend all practices, games, team events & award events
• Work in a professional manner with all members of the coaching staff
• Provide all updated OHSAA required coaching certifications
• Abide by all OHSAA Rules, Bylaws and Regulations
• Maintaining vertical integration for athlete training and coach development
• Exemplify the Blazer Covenant in all actions taken while representing HB
• Attend annual coaches’ meetings and seasonal OHSAA parent/student meeting
• Collect all school issued uniforms & equipment following their final contest
• Other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of skills and strategies of the sport
• Must be able to motivate and inspire players
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages high effort, integrity and sportsmanship
• Previous coaching experience with a noted track record of success is a bonus
• Demonstrate a positive attitude at all times
• Display a commitment to continued learning
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness to complete the OHSAA coaching certification
• Other certifications may include but are not limited to:
  Fundamentals of Coaching, CPR, First Aid training, Concussions in Sports, Lindsay’s Law (Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training), and Pupil Activity Permit
