Youth Services Associate- Half-Time

Are you a passionate youth advocate with empathic listening skills? Do you like building relationships with children, teens and families? We may have the position for you. Shaker Heights Public Library is seeking a HT Youth Services Associate to help us meet our mission of strengthening our diverse community and transforming lives by providing reference, readers advisory and programming services for youth up to grade 12 and the adults who care for them.

Must have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to switch between multiple tasks, and enjoy working collaboratively on a daily basis, this means interacting with children and teens locate and use library materials; choose items to meet their interests; find and evaluate information; use electronic resources including databases, e-media, and computers. Must enjoy working with and helping youth of all ages and backgrounds in a diverse community.
This is a bargaining unit position in our staff union.
Pay rate: $19.89-$22.88/hr
Half-Time (20 hours per week)
