Do you speak more than one language and want to make a meaningful impact? As a Bilingual Volunteer with Corso Care, you’ll provide companionship, support, and connection to patients who may feel more comfortable communicating in their native language.

• Communicate with patients in their preferred language to provide emotional support and companionship
• Assist families in understanding care instructions and updates when language barriers exist
• Help patients feel seen, heard, and understood through conversation and connection
• Support activities such as reading, reflection, or light engagement in the patient’s preferred language

• Support needs can vary by area and are dependent on our current patient census
• We recommend volunteers take on Companionship (English) visits while opportunities in their chosen language become available

• Make a meaningful difference for patients who speak languages other than English
• Flexible scheduling options to fit your availability
• Gain experience in healthcare, social work, and multicultural communication

• Fluency in English plus one of the common languages spoken, such as Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, or Hindi
• Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Completion of volunteer training program
• Background check and TB test
