Adult Services Librarian

Position

The Adult Services Librarian will support Shaker Heights Public Library’s mission by building relationships with community leaders, providing reference & readers advisory, assisting patrons with technology, and contributing to collection development and programming.

Location: Shaker Heights Public Library, Shaker Heights, OH 44120.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts.

• Build relationships with community leaders and organizations to address community goals and aspirations.
• Provide reference and readers advisory services.
• Assist patrons with technology.
• Support collection development and programming.
• Serve as Senior Person in Charge as assigned.

• Graduate level: MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited school (or completion of 75% of MLIS coursework with degree within one year).
• Strong technology skills and oral/written communication.
• Enjoy working with all kinds of people.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay rate: $23.90-$28.09 per hour.
