Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Supply Chain / Intl. Trade
Position Overview
The Import/Export Specialist is responsible for the international shipment management, document compliance, and accuracy for the company’s inbound into the United States. This role ensures speed and compliance of imported products, follows the company’s international trade compliance policies, global logistics policy, and quality initiatives.
Responsibilities- Ensure 100% compliance with all US import rules and regulations and Entrust’s global locations.
- Partner with Entrust import customs brokers to ensure timely, accurate and compliant import clearance.
- Research products for proper classification and duty determination, assess ADD/CVD, audit country of origin, valuation, and recordkeeping.
- Complete technology, hardware, and software trade classification, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
- Audit all aspects of import transactions, communicate findings, and build corrective action plans.
- Consult with customer service, transportation, warehouse operations, freight forwarders, and couriers to ensure on‑time and accurate import deliveries.
- Complete Denied Party Screening with internal systems.
- Partner with external consultants on internal duty programs.
- Ensure compliance with government and corporate recordkeeping and retention guidelines.
- Process gathering, filing and retrieval of import documentation to ensure compliance with US Customs regulations and respond to general Govt inquiries, CF‑28, CF‑29, etc.
- Assist with any U.S. Customs inquiries and contribute to development and implementation of compliance programs.
- Perform general tasks such as generating recurring reporting, training, system testing, etc.
- Document and update process and procedure guidelines.
- Manage a diverse workload of import‑related projects and tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Interface with cross‑functional groups to identify and rectify any information/process gaps during the import process.
- Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or business equivalent, 3‑5 years of experience in import trade compliance, proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with U.S. Customs compliance requirements, strong verbal and written communication skills, unrestricted work authorization for US. - Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Business or related field; experience with Oracle EBS, OTM/GTM; experience with domestic and international Air, Ocean and Truck transportation, International Freight Forwarders and small package couriers; customs broker license; highly detailed and organized professional, ability to motivate diverse teams.
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $75,956‑$111,403 per year in the primary posting location. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. The position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
