Position Overview
The Associate Product Manager (APM) supports disciplined, business‑oriented product planning and management for assigned hardware solutions. The APM conducts Voice of the Customer research, participates in channel partner product councils, collaborates with sales and marketing teams, and performs competitive analysis to develop a compelling product vision and optimized product portfolio that adds superior customer value and meets financial objectives.
ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include:
- Interface with customers, sales, and field teams to identify and validate product requirements.
- Perform competitive product and market analysis research.
- Participate in cross‑functional teams (hardware/software development, operations, QA, product management) to design and deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Assist product management leads in developing and maintaining product roadmaps.
- Support day‑to‑day lifecycle management activities and projects.
- Identify and drive initiatives to simplify customer interactions with Entrust.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to commercialize new products through the corporate ERP system.
- Collaborate with marketing communication, vertical marketing, and functional colleagues to develop timely reports and information.
- Assist in creating product and market requirements documents.
- Review and report on product performance indicators.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years of experience in engineering, business analysis, or product management.
- Demonstrated analytical experience, including market research and competitive intelligence.
- Technical acumen to engage with development, customer support, and operations teams to develop end‑to‑end service value chains.
- Functional understanding of both hardware and software technologies and solutions.
- Self‑management ability to handle day‑to‑day tasks and projects with proper direction.
- Ability to write, defend, and execute on findings.
- Legal work authorization in the United States.
- Relevant experience at a hardware and/or software product development company.
- MBA or M.S. in Management of Technology.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work under pressure while managing multiple projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a complex, fast‑paced B2B marketing environment.
This hybrid role requires three days per week in the Shakopee, MN headquarters office.
Compensation and BenefitsThe anticipated starting base pay is $93,341–$136,901 per year (primary posting location). Total compensation includes a discretionary annual incentive plan and a comprehensive benefits package: medical, vision, dental, 401(k) matching, life and disability insurance, mental health coaching, virtual fitness programs, paid personal time off, 12 paid holidays, parental leave, and education reimbursement. Eligibility is subject to program terms.
