Shakopee High School is searching for a 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS) to teach Chemistry and Biology. This position will begin approximately on January 26, 2026. End date is to be determined, but for sure through March 27, 2026 with the ability to stay on through the end of the school year (June 5, 2026).
Job SummaryProvides instruction in content area in accordance with each student’s ability, creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members.
Qualifications- Current MN teaching license in Chemistry, Sciences
-ALL-, Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry). - Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.

Salary can range anywhere between $51,000 to $71,251 depending upon education level.
