Description:
Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a 1.0 FTE, Long Term Sub (LTS) Center-Based Special Education (SpEd) Teacher to serve students with Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) at Eagle Creek Elementary School from approximately mid-September 2026 through December 2026.

Job Summary:
Deliver direct and indirect services to students with learning and/or social, emotional and behavioral needs; monitor and document student progress; develop/manage IEPs and facilitate team meetings; oversee paraprofessionals and collaborate with families and other staff on services and strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Current and valid MN teaching license in ASD, EBD, DCD or ABS
  • Prior teaching experience preferred
  • Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff

Daily rate ranges from $289.00 to $403.76 depending upon education level.
