Special Education Teacher

The Shakopee School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE, center-based special education teacher to serve students with autism spectrum disorders at the middle school level (grades 6-8) for the  school year. Deliver direct and indirect services to students with learning and/or social, emotional, and behavioral needs; monitor and document student progress; develop/manage IEPs and facilitate team meetings; oversee paraprofessionals and collaborate with families and other staff on services and strategies.

Qualifications include a current and valid MN teaching license in ASD, EBD, DCD or ABS, prior teaching experience preferred, experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction, strong classroom management skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to build successful relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Salary can range anywhere between $52,020 to $126,971 depending upon education level and experience.
