Overview
Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS). This assignment includes a combination of teaching English Education and being a Building Substitute at Shakopee East Middle School for the school year. The daily schedule and courses are TBD and may be flexible. This assignment is from August 24, 2026 through June 4, 2027.
Job SummaryProvides instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability, creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, and works collaboratively with other staff members.
Qualifications- Current MN teaching license in English/Language Arts or Communication Arts/Literature.
- Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.

Salary ranges from $52,020 to $72,676 depending upon education level.
