Special Education Teacher

Qualifications and DesiredExperience:
- Valid Special Education teaching license appropriate for the state
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
- Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and administration
- Proven ability to develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies
- Adaptability and creativity in classroom management and lesson planning
- Design and deliver effective lessons tailored to students' unique learning requirements
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in line with regulatory standards
- Regularly assess student performance and document progress towards goals
- Provide academic and behavioral support, promoting a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists
- Communicate consistently with families to discuss progress and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to team meetings regarding student development
