Special Education Teacher - Shakopee, MN

• Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Strong understanding of learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, and differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptable approach and ability to engage students in meaningful, creative ways
• Familiarity with modern educational technology

• Develop and deliver individualized instructional strategies, interventions, and lesson plans for students with special needs
• Conduct assessments and use collected data to inform instruction and measure progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and administrators to ensure coordinated student support
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes equity, respect, and positive behavior
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and required compliance reports
• Carry out regular communication with caregivers, providing updates and celebrating successes
• Participate in school or district professional development sessions and contribute insights at team meetings
