Service Support Specialist

Job Overview

Ziegler CAT is seeking a Service Support Specialist (1) to provide leadership and support for the field service team. The role involves organizing, scheduling, coordinating, purchasing, communicating, and leading the efforts of others to deliver timely, cost‑effective project management and meet customer expectations.

• Creates quotes for both internal and external customers for repairs related to power generation equipment, electrical systems, and industrial equipment.
• Enter parts, labor, and miscellaneous items needed on quotes.
• Coordinates procedures and documentation with contractors, engineers, customers, owners, utility company, sales staff, and service technicians, providing status updates throughout the projects.
• Coordinates field service projects, managing outside resources to bring projects in on time and within budget constraints.
• Adheres to and helps enforce safety policies both on‑and off‑site.
• Occasionally assists with meetings with customers, contractors, engineers, owners, and Ziegler staff to discuss project requirements and logistics where site visits are required.
• Responds promptly to phone calls or email requests.
• Works in a cooperative manner with team and leadership.

• High School degree required; 2‑year technical college degree preferred.
• Experience with diesel and gas powered engines required.
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude including ATS, Switchgear, engine control required.
• Project Management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suites.

Up to 10% travel.

Pay range: $71,400.00 to $89,250.00. Starting wage depends on skills, experience, education, and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending on applicant location.
