Position Summary

Manager II, Quality Engineer – Supply Chain – Implementation (USA). Locations:
Shakopee, MN;
Edgerton, KS; additional sites. Salary range: $104,000 – $156,000 per year. Job : R-2501527.

Core Responsibilities
  • Coordinate implementation of projects across the Sam’s Network, building training documents and dashboards to track key KPIs and align on improvement and savings with the Finance Team.
  • Promote and support company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission values and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Lead process‑improvement tools and methods (e.g., 5S, root‑cause analysis, Six Sigma, time‑motion studies) to eliminate quality losses and deviations in distribution centers in line with the Network Process Structure.
  • Compile and submit deviations to One Best Way playbooks and provide input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities.
  • Assist with the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence WPS program methodology.
  • Manage the execution of top quality losses in the functional area and help build the capability of other area managers and associates.
  • Create area quality‑loss profile analysis and performance metrics.
  • Develop gap analyses to support WPS integration.
  • Lead quality‑related savings projects within the area of responsibility.
  • Support department managers with WPS program projects, associate engagement and KPI improvements.
  • Deliver functional‑area results through KPI analysis, loss elimination and by creating standard work to reduce process variation.
  • Review and respond to quality‑focused process‑improvement projects owned by area managers.
  • Coordinate and oversee job‑related activities and assignments, building relationships with key stakeholders, driving accountability and measuring progress toward goals.
  • Supervise and develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, upholding Walmart’s mission values and ethical standards, and support the Open Door policy.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 3 years’ experience in Quality or Process Improvement OR 5 years’ experience in Engineering or Process Improvement with Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long‑term savings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building and implementing a Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge and application of QMS elements including Statistical Process Control, FMEA, and quality KPIs.
  • Quality improvement experience in a Total Performance Management (or related) environment.
