About the Role
Ziegler CAT is seeking a Customer Service Engineer in the OEM division. This key position will provide engineering support to OEM customers and Ziegler Power Systems sales personnel, working in a fast‑paced environment with broad responsibilities and autonomy. The role involves partnering with customer engineers to design and refine CAT engine integration into their chassis.
Responsibilities- Partner and collaborate with the customer to define total requirements.
- Work directly with the customer’s engineering personnel to analyze power‑systems needs and assist in finding the most efficient product solution.
- Compile technical data required for customers to make informed purchase decisions.
- Participate in technical sales calls and presentations.
- Act as key negotiator on all commercial aspects of assigned accounts.
- Develop or package 3D drawing packages of the engine and related components recommended for each customer.
- Lead field support to OEM customers to assist with engine integration.
- Complete field audits and testing of installed engine installations in OEM equipment.
- Manage customer engine inventory, forecast, and engine orders.
- Document engine and component specifications required by individual customers.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure they remain current.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 4+ years of engineering experience required.
- Strong electrical engineering knowledge and mechanical aptitude required.
- Experience with electrical power, electrician, generator, or reciprocating engine systems strongly preferred.
- Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and PC knowledge.

Up to 25% travel.
MinimumPhysical Requirements
Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing. Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.
Benefits- Salary range: $82,300.00 to $ (location dependent).
